Terms of Service

1. Service description

CollectibleIQ provides a web-based platform for tracking collectibles (as a personal collection or a selling inventory), recording transactions, calculating cost basis and profit/loss, generating reports, and listing items for sale on eBay through your connected eBay account. The service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

2. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Billing terms

Free accounts have no cost. Paid subscriptions (Pro and Premium) are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. New accounts get a 30-day Pro trial with no credit card required; when the trial ends, your account moves to the free tier unless you subscribe. You can cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

4. The eBay integration

Connecting an eBay account is optional. If you connect one, you authorize CollectibleIQ to act on your eBay account within the permissions you grant: creating and managing listings, reading your sold orders, reading your business policies, and reading your payouts and fees. You remain the seller of record on eBay. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of your listings and for complying with eBay's own policies and user agreement. We are not affiliated with eBay, and we cannot guarantee the availability or behavior of eBay's APIs. You can disconnect your eBay account at any time from Settings. How we handle eBay data, including buyer information, is covered in our privacy policy.

5. AI-assisted features

Features like title parsing, photo auto-crop, and listing drafts use automated and AI-assisted processing. They are best-effort tools, not guarantees. Review generated details and listings before you rely on them or publish them.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data; interfere with or disrupt the service; reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code; use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the service.

7. Intellectual property

The CollectibleIQ platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by CollectibleIQ. Your collection data remains yours. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for providing the service.

8. Accuracy disclaimer

While we strive for accuracy, CollectibleIQ does not guarantee the correctness of any calculations, including cost basis, profit/loss, tax estimates, or valuations. Data you enter (and data synced from eBay) determines the output. We are not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect or incomplete input.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CollectibleIQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, resulting from your use of the service.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion runs immediately and is permanent. See the privacy policy for exactly what gets deleted.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
